The Mars Science Laboratory mission is set to land its Curiosity rover in a big stinky crater in about 3 hours. So I wanted to spend part of my Sunday making a cruddy little mission patch for the folks working at mission control. They had to go into work on a Sunday, and they probably missed all of today’s Olympic events. 

Also, If the rover ends up broken and scattered across the surface of Mars, the logo can also serve as a tombstone.
